Retreats

As well as offering B&B facilities, we can also offer additional services to guests wanting a more tailored experience. We can design a retreat for you for a two-day stay or longer, best arranged in consultation with you by phone or Skype so we can get a deeper sense of your specific needs and wishes. This could be just a few days peacefully enjoying the house, but can also include some of the special experiences we offer. An example might look like this:

Day 1 – afternoon arrival. A guided and conversational walk around part of the estate. A 30-minute chair massage to smooth away your journey stress. Dinner at the Martins Arms.

Day 2 – a one-to-one yoga session and meditation before a delicious and healthy breakfast. Free time until mid-morning initial coaching session. A walk and a picnic lunch. Afternoon creative activity e.g a painting lesson. Dinner at the Nags Head, Harby.

Day 3 – dynamic meditation preceding breakfast. An equine guided learning session building on the coaching session the previous day. Outing to nearby town for lunch and the afternoon. A 90-minute couch massage. Light supper provided if required, or dinner at the Red Lion, Stathern.

Day 4 – A late breakfast and a chi gong session. Walking around the estate or a visit to nearby Belvoir estate for the rest of the day, exploring local villages. Dinner at Langar Hall.

Day 5 – yoga or chi gong or tai chi with optional meditation, followed by breakfast. A cultural tour of the locality including optional Civil War history or other specialist interest e.g the Dukeries. A late afternoon coaching session followed by a head or foot massage.

Day 6 – light breakfast followed by a cookery lesson (to be consumed after cooking). A final walk or cycle around the village, or a lesson in natural horsemanship (‘horse-whispering’) before departure.

Retreats can be designed entirely around your interests, fitness and health, enjoyment or otherwise of outdoor activities and sports.
