We’re lucky to be in an area where culinary excellence is prized and traditional food is at the heart of the culture. Just next door to us you’ll find a dairy producing Colston Bassett Stilton, one of the finest Stilton’s money can buy. And if you buy it direct from their lovely little shop it’s less money to buy than anywhere else. And five minutes walk away the Martin’s Arms is a foodies delight with its award winning meals in beautiful surroundings.
Other nearby places to eat we’d recommend include the sumptuous Langar Hotel (see the featured image) and the friendly, homely Nags Head in Harby.
At the market in the local town of Bingham, and in various local farm shops including the Good Grub Company in Kinoulton you’ll find further examples of meats, cheeses and pies (including the famous Melton Mowbray pork pie) this area is renowned for.
