The village has a beautiful cricket pitch, so redolent of that English village soundscape of leather on willow that it was used as the location for ITVs successful 90s sitcom Outside Edge starring Timothy Spall and Brenda Blethyn. Its also a location for Croquet. The surrounding Vale of Belvoir is also ideal for walkers and cyclists. And close by for those who aspire to something a little less earthbound, there are Skydiving, gliding, and flying courses at Langar airfield. And this being the heart of the English countryside the traditional pursuits of shooting and hunting still animate local life.
